Most of the couples I marry live within about twenty minutes of my front door. Bella Vista sits right on the seam between The Hills and Blacktown, which means Seven Hills, Quakers Hill, Kellyville and Parramatta are all a short drive rather than a cross-city expedition — and that shows up in what you pay and how flexible I can be about timing.

Plenty of celebrants will travel to Western Sydney. Fewer live in it, and the difference is practical rather than sentimental.
After hours is standard, not an extra. Early mornings, weeknights, evenings and weekends carry no surcharge. A lot of couples out here work rosters that ignore the weekend, and the ceremony should bend to the roster rather than the other way around.
Travel is included. There is no distance surcharge inside Western Sydney, and no line item that appears after you've said yes. The figure I quote in the first conversation is the figure on the invoice.
I can meet you in person without it being an event. A twenty-minute coffee in Blacktown or Castle Hill to talk through the ceremony is easy when it's a fifteen-minute drive each way. That tends to produce a better ceremony than a video call ever does.
If something goes wrong on the day, I'm close. Traffic on the M7, a delayed guest, a venue that's opened late — being nearby turns most of those from a crisis into a phone call.
In English, Hindi and Punjabi
Western Sydney is one of the most linguistically diverse parts of Australia, and Blacktown in particular has one of the country's largest Punjabi-speaking communities. I conduct ceremonies in English, Hindi and Punjabi, or any blend of the three, at no additional cost — these are my own languages, not something I outsource.
In practice that usually means one set of parents follows the ceremony comfortably in English while the other hears the important parts in Punjabi. Nobody sits politely through a ceremony they can't follow. Here's how a bilingual ceremony is structured.
The couples I marry out here are rarely trying to impress anyone. They want it done properly, in a language their parents understand, without paying for things they didn't ask for.
What it costs
A legals-only ceremony is $495–$595 all-inclusive — that covers lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage, the ceremony itself, and registering the marriage with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages. For comparison, NSW Registry ceremony options start from $662, at fixed times and fixed locations.
Full ceremonies with a written, personalised script start higher and are set out on the services page. Evenings and weekends carry no surcharge, which for a lot of couples out here is the part that matters most.
